NAVISP LEO PNT

The NAVISP LEO PNT project is part of the NAVISP (Navigation Innovation and Support Program) funded by the ESA.
The project is led by Safran, with the Geoloc team participating.
The goal of this project is to expand an existing product to meet LEO PNT needs. The starting point of the project is SKYDEL, a fully featured, software-defined GNSS simulator.
The evolutions are set in 3 Work Packages :
- WP 1 - Enhanced atmospheric propagation model for LEO PNT
- WP 2 - Develop new LEO PNT signals
- WP 3 - Conduct a literature survey on multipath for LEO PNT
The GEOLOC team is involved in the WP1 and WP3. For the WP1, our goal is to develop an enhanced atmospheric propagation model tailored to LEO satellite constellations, taking into account geophysical factors such as varying altitudes, rapid satellite movements, and atmospheric conditions. This model will be tested and implemented in the Skydel simulator.
